Vernie Gabbard, 93, Whick passed away Tuesday, June 7, at the Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard. She was the widow of the late Clarence Gabbard and the daughter of the late Ance and Lula(Chatt) Gilbert. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons, Earl(Etta Sue) Gabbard, Clarence Jr. (Helen) Gabbard; five daughters, Evalee(Roy) Back, Eula(Charles) Back, Beulah(Larry) Smith, Bobbie(Malcolm) Baker, Betty(Arthur) Back; host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Visitation Wednesday, June 8, 6:00 PM. Funeral Thursday, June 9, 12:00 Noon with Rev. Gary Bellamy officiating. Burial in the Family Cemetery at Whick.
