Obituary

Stephen Hardin , 91, United States Air Force veteran and member of Blair Memorial Baptist Church left this life on November 14, 2025. Steve was born March 21, 1934 to Russell O. and Abby Dean Hardin of Clayhole, Ky.  He was a graduate of Riverside Christian Training School where he met his wife, Alvida (Conway). Since the early 1960s, he and his wife were the owners of Clayhole Grocery and Hardin Construction Company.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Calloway and Rebecca Conway, brothers Russell, Jr., and John, and sisters Juanita, Mary, and Charlene. He is survived by his wife, sons Phillip (Vicky) and Chris (Angie), daughter Frances (Daniel) Fanning, grandsons, Curtis (Betty) and Jadin, granddaughter Lily,  great-grandsons Liam and Logan, and a host of nieces and nephews.

As a carpenter, Steve's artistry is revealed in the many homes, furniture, and cabinetry he built during his career.  A devout Christian, his priority was always his family, whom he protected and nurtured his entire life. His legacy of faith and strength lives on in his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, in whom he instilled Christian values and loyalty to family.
