Shirley Douglas Gross , 81 of Versailles, Ky formerly of Breathitt County passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024 at UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.

She was the widow of the late James H. Gross and the daughter of the late Henry and Edith Holland Douglas. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Faye and Faye's daughter, Vickie Drury and Oneta McWilliams (Jim) and brothers, James Douglas (Betty), Frank Douglas (Gayle), William Douglas (Rexie).

Shirley was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening in her flowers, cooking and having tea parties with the grandkids.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Ann Peach and her children, Kayla Carmack and Doug Peach; host of nephews and nieces.

Shirley's visitation will be Friday, August 30, 11:00AM at the Little Cane Creek Baptist Church with her services beginning at 12:00 PM with John Abner officiating.

Burial in the Gross Family Cemetery at War Creek.
