Sam B. Herald, 90, Jackson passed away Friday, February 3, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. He was a graduate of Lees College and Eastern Kentucky University. He was a teacher and a principal. He was a member of the Guerrant Highland Presbyterian Church. He was the son of the late Tom E. Herald and America Turner Herald. He was also preceded in death by daughter, Nora Ann Herald; sister, Elizabeth Herald; brother, Tommy Turner. He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years, Grace Reynolds Herald; daughter, Lynn Ethel Herald; son, Samuel Bruce Herald and wife, Nan; grandchildren, Samuel Westin Herald, Jasalynn Grace Herald, Tyler Neace; niece, Tanya Turner Ooten; nephew, Thomas Allen Herald; two great nieces and five great nephews. Serving as pallbearers; Samuel Bruce Herald, Edgar Raleigh II, Jesse Kyle Haddix, Justin Cole Haddix, Brant Mitchell Cornelius, Thomas Allen Herald, Robert Reynolds, Jade Daniel Haddix, John Dudley Hilton, Tyler Neace, Samuel Westin Herald. Visitation Monday, 5PM. Funeral Tuesday, 1PM with Rev. John Bunn officiating. Burial in the Jackson Cemetery.
