Rose Holder, age 66, departed this earthly life on October 5, 2025 in Beattyville, Kentucky. Born on September 19, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois, she was a beloved daughter of the late Fitch and Mildred Crittendon Vires.

A high school graduate, she found happiness in spending time with her loved ones.  She had a special fondness for watching wrestling and looked forward to going to TR—activities that brought her joy and relaxation.

Rose is lovingly remembered by her daughters; Christy Mullins and Tonya Thorpe; her grandchildren; Erica Collins, Benjamin Thorpe, Krista Thorpe, Sarah Mullins and Hunter Mullins and her great-grandchildren; Kristalynn, Gavyn, Hadyn and McKenna. She also leaves behind her brother; Fitch Vires Jr. and sisters; Mary Francis (Larry), Patricia Neace and Tammy Vires. Also suriving is a special niece who was like a daughter to her; Nikki Hays.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Holder; her parents, Fitch and Mildred Vires; her brother, James Vires and her sisters, Barbara Vires and Sue Campbell.

A visitation for Rose will be held Tuesday, October 7, at the Breathitt Funeral Home from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
