Rodney Robert George, age 76, passed away on September 22, 2025, in Hazard, Kentucky. Born on December 19, 1948, in Saginaw, Michigan, he was the cherished son of the late Robert and Rosemary George.

Rodney retired as a marketing specialist and was known for his vibrant personality and unique outlook on life. A devoted fan of the Detroit Lions, he also enjoyed the Second Life Virtual Online Metaverse, where he entertained many as a D.J. His love for music was wide-ranging, spanning blues, jazz, and rock 'n' roll.

He is survived by his son, Travis George, and his wife, Rebecca McInnis George; grandson, A.J. McInnis and his wife Brenna McInnis and great-granddaughter, Brynlee McInnis, who was born shortly after his passing on October 17, 2025. He is also survived by his sisters, Judy George and Sharon Gunther; his special friend, Brenda S. Salyers; and his beloved dog, Rylee, a Chorkie mix.

Interment of ashes will take place at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 3440 S. Washington Rd., Saginaw, Michigan 48601.

Rodney will be remembered as an independent and creative soul, whose deep love of music and distinctive spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
