Otto Childers, 92, St. Helens passed away Sunday, December 1, at his residence. He was the widower of the late Mida King Childers and the son of the late Zephren and Melvie Gabbard Childers. He was also preceded in death by five brothers; Sam, Jack, Archie, Eskil, Tommy; three sisters, Loni, Tina, Olena. He is survived by three sons, James Bill Childers, Paul Childers, Joe Childers; five daughters, Bessie McIntosh, Mary Childers, Irene Fairfield, Barb Shlaud, Cindy Charlton; two brothers, Oscar Childers, Porter Childers; host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Visitation, Tuesday, December 3, 5-8PM at the funeral home. Funeral, Wednesday, December 4, 11AM with Walter Turner officiating at the Wide Creek Community Church, Beattyville. Burial in the Gabbard Cemetery at Wide Creek. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Shelton, Shane Shelton, Thomas Shelton, Mike Branch, Chris Childers, Justin Childers, Luke Childers, Josh Collins.
