Lenox Cornett Jr. , 83, of Canoe, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington.

Born October 15, 1941 in Jackson to the late Lenox Sr. and Alma Rae Cornett, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Chelsea Marie Fugate Cornett whom passed away on May 9. He also had several siblings who preceded him in death.

Lenox was a dedicated educator who spent his life shaping young minds. A retired teacher, he enjoyed fishing from time to time.

He is survived by his son, Dennis Cornett; his daughter, Kimberly Logan; his sister, Esther Cornett; his granddaughter, Breanna Cornett Jackson and his great-granddaughter, Amelia Lane Jackson.

Graveside service will be held Sunday, May 25, at 2:00 PM at the Cornett Cemetery at Spicer Branch on Canoe.
