Joy D Griffith, 87 of Latonia, Kentucky, passed away  Friday, September 25, 2026. She was the cherished daughter of Dorsie and Rachell Turner born in Breathitt County on April 15, 1939.

She retired from the Banking Industry. She was a member of the New Macedonia Old Regular Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and a devoted Christian and just a beautiful soul and very inspirational.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Griffith in 2017, son, Gary Griffith and brother, Rudolph Turner.

She is survived by her son, Larry Griffith, sister, Josie Turner and daughter-in-law, Debbie Griffith; grandchildren, Amy, Gary, Tiffany, Stephany and Ashley and 17 great grandchildren.

 
A visitation will be held at New Macedonia Regular Baptist Church, 1143 Central Avenue, Newport, KY 41071 on Monday, September 28, 2026 from 4:00 – 7:00pm. Her service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00AM at the church. Burial will follow at Sebastians Branch Cemetery after the service.
