John Smith Jr., 85, Altro passed away Saturday, August 24, at his residence. He worked for Falcon Coal Company for 32 years. He loved coon hunting, horse riding, horse shows, farming, life and people. He was the son of the late John and Laura Deaton Smith. He was also preceded in death by 20 siblings. He is survived by his wife, Jennie Belle Turner Smith; six daughters, Debbie Pitts, Wanda Smith, Jennifer Smith(Woody Burton), Ella(Lonnie) Cole, Kathy(Delmer) Jones, Brenda(Jack) Queen; special friend, Jerry Strong; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren. Visitation, Sunday, August 25, 6:00 PM. Additional services, Sunday, 7:00 PM. Funeral, Monday, August 26, 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Roy Lee Turner and Larry Collins officiating. Burial in the Haddix Cemetery.
