J esse Barnett Jr. , 72, Jackson passed away Monday, May 20, at his home.

He was the widower of the late Betty Burton Barnett and the son of the late Jesse Sr. and Easter Taulbee Barnett. He is also preceded in death by daughter, Sylvia Dawn Barnett; brothers, Arlis Ray Barnett and Sherill Barnett; sister, Wanda Boss.

Jesse was a retired farmer and factory worker. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the news and westerns on tv, socializing and going to church.

He is survived by sons, Jesse Leonard and wife, Augusta Barnett, Timothy Scott Barnett; brother, Ivan and wife, Dolly Barnett; sisters, Malvery and husband, George Combs, Judy Allex, Sylvia Darling; grandchildren, Betty Katelyn Barnett, Kelsey Elise Barnett, Sadie Kellyn Barnett, Caleb Joshua Barnett, Timothy Jacob and wife, Cindy Barnett, Kaylee Durane Barnett; special nephews, Adam Barnett, Jeffrey Barnett.

Visitation for Jesse will be Thursday, May 23, 5:00PM at the Breathitt Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral service will be Friday, May 24, 1:00 PM at the Breathitt Funeral Home Chapel with John Bunn and Leonard Carpenter officiating.

Burial will follow in the Burton Cemetery at Gilmore.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
