Jeffery Kent Combs, 59, of Jackson, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the UC Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was a dedicated plant operating engineer for ARH and spent many years serving in that role.

Jeffery was a man who cherished the simple joys in life, including camping, fishing, and spending quality time with his family. He was an avid fan of Star Trek and Star Wars, often enjoying these iconic series in the company of loved ones.

He was preceded in death by parents, Pearl and Ruby Combs; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Combs and Ida Mae Combs; mother-in-law, Lauria Dean Southwood; sister-in-law, Liz Southwood and brother-in-law, David Lovins.

Jeffery is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Kimberly Combs; sons, Daniel (Mikayla) Combs and John (Kelly) Combs; special son, Nathan Cole; father-in-law, Goodlow Southwood; sisters, Cherise (Ike) Watkins and Johnnie Lovins; beloved grandchildren, Madeline Jude Combs and Penelope Pearl Combs; special grandchildren, Clay Back, Cady Back and Harley Cole; brothers-in-law, Tommy (Denise) Southwood, Rowdy Southwood, and Billy (Kasie) Southwood; and special friend, Alan Hounshell. He also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held in Jeffery's honor on Saturday, March 8 at the Breathitt Funeral Home Chapel from 2:00 - 4:00 PM.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
