Emanuel C. Turner, M.D. & J.D, 70, Turners Creek passed away Sunday, October 8, at the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson. He served as a medical doctor for 20 years in Jackson. He worked as an attorney with Patrick E. O'neill for 20 years at the law firm, Turner & O'Neill, also in Jackson. He was a member of the Turners Creek Mennonite Church. He was the son of the late Oakley and Susie Turner. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Turner; one son, David Cohen and wife, Deborah Turner and children, Brenda Jean, Breanna Lee, Isabella Marie, Timothy Cohen, Emma Lou; three daughters, Beverly Annette Turner, Susan Carol Turner and son, Zachary Cohen, Stephanie Marie and husband, Mitchell II Herald and children, Natalie Grace, Eliana Faith, Noah Jenson; one sister, Mattie Ruth and husband, Mike Riley and sons, Michael Cohen, Randy and wife, Melody and children, Lily and Mason. Visitation Friday, October 13, 6:00 PM at the Turners Creek Community Center. Funeral Saturday, October 14, 1:00 PM at the Turners Creek Community Center with Rev. Phil Swartzentruber officiating. Burial in the Alice B. Turner Cemetery at Turners Creek.
