Della L. Spencer Creech, age 74, passed away peacefully Friday, February 13, 2026 in Ruskin, Florida at the Sun City Center Hospice House. Born on September 4, 1951 in Jackson, Kentucky, she was the beloved daughter of the late Ewell B. and Georgia Louise (McIntosh) Spencer.

Della dedicated her professional life to education as a student nutritionist, where her work undoubtedly touched the lives of many. Beyond her career, she found immense joy in her hobbies and passions. She was an avid crocheter and a talented cook who delighted in sharing her creations with loved ones. Della also had a love for singing and dancing that brought lightheartedness to those around her. She enjoyed watching old Sci-Fi movies and cherished every moment spent with her family.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Steven Creech; her brothers, Ollie Spencer and Preston Spencer and her sister, Bobbie Bryant. Her memory will live on through her surviving family: her son, Steven Bryan Creech (Kristina); her daughter, Heather Creech; her sisters, Karen Taulbee and Helen Parker; her grandchildren—Devin Creech, Shay Hickman, Evelyn Hill, Charlotte Creech, and Greyson Creech—and her great-grandson Hayden Creech.

Visitation for Della is scheduled for Saturday, February 21, beginning at 12:00 PM at the Breathitt Funeral Home Chapel with her funeral service to begin at 2:00 PM with Darrel Bryant officiating.

Burial will follow in the Town Hill Cemetery at Jackson with Steven Creech, Shay Hickman, Gage Cobb, Brian Spencer, Michael Taulbee and Arlie Lovins serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers include Randy Spencer and Wallace Spencer.

Della's legacy is one of love, warmth, and devotion to family. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
