Charles R. Richardson  , 83 of Campton, Kentucky, departed this earthly life Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. Born on January 15, 1943 in Dedham, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Albert and Florence Green Richardson.

Charles built a fulfilling career over the years, serving as a service manager at Ryder Truck Rental and later working as an outside salesman at Worldwide Equipment. His dedication to his work was matched by his passion for life outside of his profession.

An avid bass fisherman, Charles found joy in participating in fishing tournaments and spending time on the water. He also cherished moments with his family which were central to his life. A man of Christian faith, Charles drew strength and guidance from his beliefs throughout his journey.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ollie Gillum Richardson; and two individuals he raised as sons, Ethan Kunick and Elijah McKinney. In addition to his parents, Albert and Florence Green Richardson, Charles was predeceased by his brother, Albert E. Richardson.

Charles will be remembered for the love he shared with those around him and the memories he created through his passions and dedication. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.

There will be a celebration of life ceremony Saturday, July 25, 2026 at the Breathitt Funeral Home from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
