Charles Edward Hardin Sr., 83, Mt. Carmel passed away Mon., Oct. 6, at the Paul B. Hall Medical Center in Paintsville. He was the son of the late Thurman and Cora Campbell Hardin and the widower of the late Dorothy Fugate Hardin and Nettie Miller Hardin. He was also preceded in death by son, Harold Dean Hardin; great grandson, Damyn Ryder Herald Brewer; brother, Lawrence Hardin; brother-in-law, Pryce Miller. He was a US Navy veteran. He was a member of the War Creek Baptist Church. He was a member of Farm Bureau, Retired Teachers Association, Breathitt Co. Soil Conservation. He is survived by four sons, Judge Charles Edward Hardin Jr., MD, Gary Hardin, Randall Hardin, Donnie Hardin; one daughter, Brenda Brewer; four daughters-in-law, Machelle Hardin, Brenda Hardin, Tammy Hardin, Shannon Hardin; one son-in-law, Richard Brewer; one brother, William Harrison Hardin; three sisters, Mable Epperson, Nettie Hardin, Betty Lou Campbell; sister-in-law, Mattie Miller; fifteen grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren.
