Obituary

Caleb Benton "CB" Dunn II, 86, Jackson passed Wednesday, December 14, at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville after fighting cancer for six months. He passed peacefully with his family by his bedside. His life has culminated after 86 years as a loving father and husband. He was a US Army veteran proudly serving his country in the Korean War as a Sergeant Tank Commander and lived his entire life in the city of Jackson in Breathitt County. His love for his family, country and God was unquestionable. CB enjoyed life, especially engaging with his grandchildren and cultivating the soil, always having a wonderful garden to share its bountiful harvest with family and friends. We will miss his inspiration but know he is resting peacefully with God. He was the son of the late Caleb Benton Dunn and Eva Cisco Dunn. He was also preceded in death by one son, Caleb Benton "Bennie" Dunn III and five siblings, Arland Haywood Dunn, Otis Dunn, Mae Fern Gilley, Ford Hillard Dunn and Faye Maxine Jenkins. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia M. Morris Dunn; two sons, Anthony Lynn Dunn, Randy Alvin(Ellen) Dunn; two daughters, Teresa Sharon(Jack) Stickney, Sandra Carol Dunn; five grandchildren, Patrick Benton(Rachel) Dunn, Jason R. Dunn, Shawn R. Dunn, John Caleb Stickney, Aaron Stidham; one great grandchild, Benton Lee Dunn. Visitation Friday, December 16, 5PM. Funeral Saturday, December 17, 12PM with Rev. Gordon Little officiating. Military rites will be observed at the graveside. Serving as pallbearers: Larry Davidson, Jerry Henson, Claude Barrett, Ray Clemons, Johnny Lusk, Mackie Ritchie.
