Arthur Southwood, 89, Clayhole passed away Tues., Apr. 7, at his residence. He was a member of the Faith Bible Church. He was an underground and surface coal miner and retired from Arch Mineral Coal Company. He was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel on the 22nd day of January 1992 and in the 200th year of the Commonwealth. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shade Southwood and Peggy Fugate Southwood; two daughters, Brenda and Sandy; three brothers, Luther Landrum, Lawzie Southwood, Nathan Southwood. He is survived by his wife, Ina Hudson Southwood; one daughter, Sharon Southwood (Randy); one son, Edward Southwood (Karen); one grandson, James Southwood; four sisters, Elsie Cameron(Don), Diana Hobbe(Rodney), Lona Jones, Oma Summers(Dan); one brother, Emery Southwood; one aunt, Juliann Noble; one brother-in-law, James "Snook" Hudson(Reecy); special people, Deborah L. Hudson(Perry), Joyce, Paul and Mike Herald, Ira Southwood, Faith Bible Church family members; host of nephews, nieces and cousins. Pallbeareres will be friends and neighbors.
