Alvin Turner, 73, Talbert passed away Thursday, October 6, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was the widower of the late Georgia Stamper Turner and the son of the late Martin and Sallie Turner. He was also preceded in death by one son, Raymond Turner; several brothers and sisters. He is survived by three sons, Willie (Sara) Turner, Alvin Dean (Jennifer) Turner, Victor (Ida) Turner; one daughter, Sally (Charles) Gilbert; one sister, Clara Turner; eleven grandchildren, six step grandchildren, three great grandchildren. Visitation, Saturday, October 8, 6PM. Funeral Sunday, October 9, 2PM with Rev. Silas Hall and Rev. Jesse Hall officiating. Burial in the Alice B. Turner Cemetery at Talbert.
